‘Twilight Storytellers’ Contest Director Finalists Include Vancouver’s Spear Sisters
The Spear sisters who were vying to share the director’s chair in the new Twilight Storytellers contest have officially won the privilege. Their screenplay “The Mary Alice Brandon File“, is one of the six screenplays chosen to be created for the final part of the contest.
The short film will be cast and filmed in Vancouver, the Spear sisters have confirmed. The sisters are planning to use local talent, and already have actors Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica) and Eileen Pedde (Juno) attached as part of their cast. For the final stage of the contest, the final six films will be being judged by a panel, with the final winning director(s) to take home a Volvo XC90 Hybrid SUV.
Kailey & Sam Spear, interestingly, are also the writers of “The Mary Alice Brandon File“, and are the only director duo to have made it to the next step in the ‘Twilight Storytellers’ contest.
“The Storytellers: New Voices of Twilight Saga” is presented by Lionsgate, Women In Film, Facebook, Volvo, and “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer, to create a new, original stories for the Twilight franchise.
Good luck, Kailey and Sam!
